Deepak Ashish Kaul is a post graduate in Medieval Indian History from the Hindu College, University of Delhi. He joined the Indian Civil Services 1995 at the age of 23 years.  

During 2011- 2015 he also worked in the Ministry of Culture as Director (Museums) supervising the work of the Central Government and ASI museums across the country.

 

During this period he set up the country’s first digital repository of artifacts at CDAC, Pune along with the National Portal (museumsofindia.gov.in) From June 2016 – May 2019 he was the financial head of Doordarshan, India’s Public Service Broadcaster. It was in his tenure as ADG (Finance) that Doordarshan came out of red and started generating an operational surplus.

Since June 2019, Mr. Kaul has been working in the National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency as Director (F&A) on deputation.
