As per Wikipedia.org, Ashadhi Ekadashi, also known as Devshayani Ekadashi , is a tithi in the Hindu calendar. It is the biggest festival of Varkari sect . This holy day has special significance for Vaishnavas. On the day of Ashadhi Ekadashi, lakhs of Varkaris, devotees flock to Pandharpur for darshan of Vitthala . Ekadashi falling on Shukla Paksha of Ashadha month is called Ashadhi Ekadashi by Devshayani. This day has great importance from spiritual and religious point of view. It is believed that the gods fall asleep on this day.
